Got my board in today. Doing a test fit. It is from REM. Seems to stick out too far and back seat is hitting it. Any Ideas before I cut on it. Any pic's would be grate also.

Russ it suppose to over hang the metal about a 1/4 of an inch, it was on my 68 and a friends 68 I just installed, and some came with a L bracket looking clip that lays over the edge a little and screws to the metal area behind the seat back. I will look and see if I have a picture.

Thanks Mike. I don't have the sound board yet to go behind the back seat. Maybe what I am missing. That might make up the difference. Trying to get that rear window installed. Russ.

This one is about a half inch over lap. Will the sound board make a difference? Or are you including that in their also. Going to order it and the jute pad before cutting on it. Thanks Guys for info.

Here is a picture of the clips that hold the package tray down, I think it keeps everything in place when you shut the deck lid. Russ if you don’t have yours let me know I may have a set . 640D1FD9-9E83-4A9A-AE0E-358094559B8A.jpeg

With all the metal replaced wonder if may be the package tray is short. Or maybe the board is a little long. Look's like the speaker slot's are forward a bit also. Who knows just another thing to over come. Thanks to all. Be glad when it is done.

So now I have trimmed the board fits better. But that plastic trim at the window is uneven. It is a little high in places and gap's. So thinking of use of the 3m glue to hold it in place. So any ideas on this. It is not much but want it too fit well. Gave up on the defrost install for now. Put my speakers in and can do the defrost at a latter date or may never do it. Some thing so small can be a challenge also. Thank for the support. Would post pic's but don't want to piss off people here.

I know your rite. No got the board from REM. Trim form off e bay. Do you think the glue will hold the trim to the window frame. It is just a little off. I can push it where it goes with light pressure with my finger. Then I think what if I want to pull the board latter. Don't know when may never pull it at my age cold be their for ever. Thanks. Want to get this back window in !!!!!!!

So 3M glue did the trick. It is in place and hope to get the window in tomorrow. Just to say the tinted window is not that dark. It should look fine. Just hope it fit's well. It is new from AMD and they say the problems have been worked out on fitment. Will see.

Got the rear window in today and the trim on it. Plenty of gap all around the window so filled it with Urethane calk to fill those gap's. It looked so good was going to take a picture of it. Got a coke and was cleaning up the mess. Wiping down the sweat and all off the car. About thirty minutes went buy while cleaning the floor up and all the trash. I hear a POW. I looked all around and said what was that. I looked at the back window and yes it had shattered. Called my two glass buddies and they said they had no idea. Uther than did it have stress on it. I said not plenty of gap around the window. Asked if the Calk would have done it. Like expanded they said no. So they are going to make good on it and send me another one. Any Ideas of what happen. After looking at the pic's it looks like it started in the middle at the bottom. I am sick it is enough to make a grown man cry. Now have to start over again. :BangHead:IMG_0107.JPG IMG_0106.JPG
