oh well, but its out of your garage. At least this way you won't be tempted to try and buy it back. Never really understood why Euro's want these things anyway. You can't really drive them over there and gasoline is about a million dollars per liter. I'm in Italy all the time, they won't fit on most of the roads! Not to mention finding someone to work on it and heaven forbid if you need a part.
Yeah true,I’m sure there’s a lot of cars in England

Hey John don't take a check have a wire transfer and make sure the money is in the bank before it is picked up. Had a friend that was selling a race car to someone in CA. He got a registered check from a bank. The deal was for my friend to pay the truck driver 400 when he got their. As it went the driver was late and he went and contacted the bank from his bank and they told him that was not their check. He tried to call the guy and he could not get a hold of him. Also the truck driver never showed. Seller beware!!!!!

Funny they drive Bentleys and Rolls Royce's over their and they are not small cars either.
Good point. I spent 6 month in the UK, granted it was many moons ago and the Jag's, Benz, and Big 7 Series Beamers were all over. But you saw them mostly on the M's. The back roads, especially in Scotland were barely big enough for a single car. Same in Italy, the Auto Strada lots of big sedans, but get into one of the towns and the bigger cars have trouble. Gas and Diesel costs per liter what it does here per gallon. Smaller lighter cars, but they still go when you want them too and engines that turn off when you come to a stop. Electronic Speed check everywhere so you really need to mind how fast you go, you'll get a ticket in the mail.

We have red light cam's in Fla. The same thing happens you get a ticked in the mail. Yes in Italy the streets are small. I watched an episode of picker's with frank and mike. They could not get their van down many street's. Guess that is why the Fiat was sold over their. Now he say's some one from the UK is buying the car. Where in the UK is it going is the question. Is Australia in the UK as well. Lot of open country their. So if in England park the car when getting to the city and grab a double decker bus. Those thing's are not small either. :kartman: Hey Mate let's grab a beer.

"UK" typically refers to the United Kingdom which is England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Never been to Australia, so I can't say about their roads.

I was thinking the exact same thing as I was reading this thread...
I'm sure it's possible, the M's are quite nice. In London would be tricky though, the roads in the midlands are narrow and twisty. Scotland, especially further up the roads are single lane with passing areas for one to pull over. The roads are not ideal is what I'm saying for the big "Yank Tanks" as they are referred to.

Plus the gas tax alone in the UK is more than we spend per gallon here. It's about $5.20 per gallon. There gas prices are close to $9.00 a gallon. Not ideal for driving around in the Roadrunner much.

Well hope you got the money you wanted for the car. Now you can take a little of the money and buy a big crying towel. I know you will be on the hunt for something else. Good luck. Russ.

Well I understand. Think about what I am doing restoring a non number's matching car. But it is costing the same weather it is or not. So it will not bring the money if it had paper work and fender tag. Sorry you took the hit on price. Like when I went out of business was building a rotary well rig. I had over 30 grand in it with all the parts and stuff I had bought. It was not finished putting it together and sold every thing for 10 thou. just to get it out of the yard. But I can say I had a rotary well rig at one time. Well I know your not going to be let down too long you will move on like I did. Life is too short to cry over spilled milk so they say. Good luck John. Hope their is another runner in you future.

LMAO Ron you do realise we have tractor trailers over here and not still using a horse and cart. They fit ok on our roads so driving a B-body is no problem at all.As for parts we have suppliers here who do next day delivery for general maintenance stuff and anything else is just a mouse click away on the Web,here in a few days.I had my 440 built and installed by an English guy over here too(amazing,he actually knew what to do and how to do it LOL).I'll give you the fuel costs, they are a joke but it's a small price to pay to drive such an awesome car.Remember it's Smiles per gallon.

Well, it's been probably 20-years since I was in the UK honestly. I worked for an Insurance Brokerage located in Coventry. I rented a small house from a farmer in a village called Dumbleton(SP). My Dad always thought that was appropriate. I'm not saying a B body would not have fit on the roads, there were plenty of American cars around. But I distinctly remember my British friends laughing at me and referring to such as "Yank Tanks" if I would call one out in admiration. I was leashing a Peugeot 205 at the time, and I'm 6'6" so that was a challenge and I longed for my car. When travels took me into Scotland many of the roads were single lane, with the occasional pull over should another car happen to approach in the other direction. It was the same in Wales. Getting up to Dornoch when my Dad would visit was pretty interesting.
My wife is from Italy, and I'm there frequently visiting her family. It's pretty much the same there, sure there are major highways that rival, in fact most are better, than what we have here. But try and drive through the center of her hometown in one, you would be wedged in-between buildings, and up into the mountains to visit some of the hillside villages, getting around some of the switchbacks I always question if my roadrunner could make some of those turns without bottoming out. A good friend has a 1964 Ferrari GTB 4-cam, he's a retired racer and I've sat in the car with him when he does some of these hills. No way would my car make those turns without having to stop and back up.

The Ferrari at the top of Caste Monte outside of Cividale. White knuckles the whole way up, thought for sure I was not going to make it, but the guy knew every turn and how to handle this car. 56402123_10215432431536993_2953648717401423872_n[1].jpg

I offered him straight up trade for my Roadrunner, and I'd pay the shipping for both cars. He didn't go for it. That's a 3-million dollar car boys.
