You broke the bulkhead connector for the engine side of the wiring harness at the firewall? What did you do to repair this? What condition was/is the bulkhead connector in? That fusible link runs from the starter relay to the bulkhead connector. Check all of that including your connections at...

'71 & '72 look alike. '73 & '74 look alike. Never cared for front end on the latter. Couple that with an available 318-2bbl under the hood and you had one seriously underwhelming car. JMHO.
