High ratio is kind of opposite what you might think. Ratios like 4:10, or 3:73 are considered
“ tall “ or lower gear. These gears accelerate faster but have a lower top end speed. Ratios like 3:23, or 2:74 are considered short or higher gears. These gears accelerate a little slower but have higher top end speed. Better mileage also

Might need to change trans tunnel, change pedals, change steering column, unless use console and floor shifter, need cooling attachment in radiator, cooling lines, need flex plate swap from clutch and flywheel, think drive shaft stays same length, if new 4 gear auto might need controller for it, many are electronic controlled. Possible new trans crossmember. Help me out if I forget anything.

Sorry nothing is easy. Putting this car I have back to four speed and adding console. Just lucky it was a four speed original car. Some one had put an automatic in her and did a hatch job on the Z bar hanger on the frame rail. Had to fix all that. Needless to say did not have bell housing but the clutch pedal was still in the car. Keep the pic's coming on how your doing. :beep:

Don't even know if you can get any thing plated here in the USA. Are they cadmium plated. Look really clean and shinny.

I can do that zinc plate but some of it should be black phosphate to be correct like the fender bolts and keepers but they get painted anyway

Rebuilding the carb's are not that hard. Get a kit and they are pretty straight forward. Soak in a pail of carb cleaner disassembled. Is the choke electrical or vacuum operated. The choke mech I have always bought new and replaced. Hope some one else will let you know if they have the same type of carb's you have that will help. Good luck. :steering:
