my research said about 40K are on the road, but that's an estimate not actual. I wrote to the PA DMV and for a fee they will do the research and tell you how many RM23 /21/27 vehicles are registered in the State. But that would be one State. Then you got our friends in Canada and some yet overseas to account for.So Out of 80 thousand cars made who knows how many are still around. Do we have any idea. Know many are being restored from near to nothing shape to like new. Or like I say as close as I can get it. Good info guy's.
You got a cold one Bob I will be rite over. Yea rite. Some guy's have all the fun.Have a beer Rusty
Is there a source out there, to find the production numbers on a 69' RR, Coupe, N96, R4, 4 SPD car ??
Thanks !!
When I did some research on the topic I found the following:
There were 32,368 RM21 cars made in 1969.
31,397 were 383CI 335HP cars
650 had the 440CI 6pak
356 had the 426CI Hemi.
There were 46,847 RM23 cars made
45,629 were 383
797 were 440
421 were 426
Yeah, I don't know why the difference in the RM21 number. I'm certainly no authority on the topic. This is just data found on the internet (so it must be true ). There were multiple sources that had the information, some were the same some different. But all within a certain margin of error. I don't recall the source I was quoting from, didn't document that.A12 Registry says that there were 615 RM21 A12s built. 388 4-spd and 227 auto.
A12 Registry says that there were 797 RM23 A12s built. 422 4-spd and 375 auto.
This does not include any Canadian and Export A12s built. Curious that your source has different numbers for the coupes and the same number for the hardtops. No big deal - Just caught my eye.
That one shows 615 also. So I'm guessing the 650 was just a typo when you scribbled the numbers down. Or maybe your handwriting is like mine; nearly illegible to everyone...including me...http://beep2beep.tripod.com/Roadrunner_Production-Figures.html
This may have been the source I was looking at.
Opps........probably a typoThat one shows 615 also. So I'm guessing the 650 was just a typo when you scribbled the numbers down. Or maybe your handwriting is like mine; nearly illegible to everyone...including me...
