OK. How are you posting the pictures in the post without using the attachment option?

Well how long did it take :acme:  :D

It's listed on page 12 of the October issue of Car Craft. I guess you'll just have to buy the issue in order to find out...
:acme: Right back at ya...

Re: And so it Begins....

So, I knew the car was wrecked 20+ years ago. What we didn't know was the extent of the damage. We tried putting on the new (to me) deck lid only to find out how bad things really are. The frame is bent about an 1/8 of an inch. The trunk hinge is bent on the right side, so that throws everything off. So much so, that the only fix is a new full quarter, or a good used one, and a new deck filler panel. A friend is going south in a few days, so he'll be looking for one, although I'm not holding my breath for one.

My uncle offered to swap even up for his Harley to my RR. Kinda looking good right now..... :brickwall:

That sucks to hear Steve. Like some home renovations, there are times where the more you get into something, the more you find you have to do. At least now you know it will be fixed right.

The good news is that the metal moves real easy when the sheetmetal is removed. My Modtop was hit pretty hard in the rear and I was able to align everything without even using a frame machine. Once all is good (a lot of measuring) then the new panels go on with ease. Keep at it, a Roadrunner is way cooler than a Harley anyways. If it was easy every Tom,Dick,Harry,Ray, and Bob would be doing it. The cool factor of the Harley would wear off quickly leaving you with wanting the Roadrunner back.

Re: And so it Begins....

Lucky for me, the guy going down south next week owns a body shop and a frame rack. The pain will just be getting a flat bed for it to and from. I got a quote yesterday on a new AMD full quarter for $620, but the shipping is the killer at $150.

As for the Harley, I wouldn't keep it. I'd flip it right away for the cash. I'd end up buying another bike (sport bike) and use the rest to pay off some debt. Honestly, that would be nice, but I just can't bring myself to sell it. Maybe someday in a pinch, especially if I got laid off, but other than that, she's mine. After all, my daughter's first words were "beep beep," so there's way to much emotional attachment to just sell cause I got frustrated.

Of course not!.... I have a quote on a new one, but the shipping is the killer. If there's no luck down south, then im gonna try Norwalk for sure.
