Re: And so it Begins....(Updated pg 24)

The cost of materials alone on a job like yours (paint, chemicals, supplies, etc. & not including parts) would likely approach 2-3K.... So don't feel too bad about it! It looks like your getting a good deal. Are you planning on removing the dash? Now would be a great time to do it. You can tidy up the wiring, connections, terminals, gauges, lens, dash pads, etc etc.... Just a suggestion... Good luck with it!

Thanks. Nope. No plans on removing the dash. I did some of that a few years ago.

 From the looks of those towing hooks on the front, and the big meats out back I'd say that one mostly puts mileage on a 1/4 mile at a time!!

These were taken on Friday. It's only one coat of primer, and only on the back half and roof. The doors are still off, and haven't really been worked on much. Still though, I cant believe its finally getting coated, even in small little stages.

Yeah, Im staying with the F5 green. It was my first choice and I really do like the color. Plus, the engine bay is already painted, so that will be a bit cheaper in the end. Plus, if I went with any other color, I'd probably have to change out the whole interior down the road, and that's crazy expensive.

That's what I'm thinking as well. I like the F8, but sometimes it looks a tad too dark. But I like the yellow thaty's on it now, and I wouldn't have to repaint the engine bay......I guess I'll worry about paint after I get the skins on.

Don't forget Dave, if you want a lighter color there's always F3 or F5!
