I've heard some good things about a Tremec supporting 700 ft tq but I'm not sure on the fitment? Or the cost...
http://www.keislerauto.com/mopar/b-body/1966-1970/view-all-products.html Check out this page from Keisler Engineering. They do a tko5-speed direct fit. The base 5-speed kit will run you just north of 2500.00 and they have just about any option you could ask for to increase what it can handle. Be warned though it can get pricey if you go overboard.

Are you studdering again?!:acme:
That 5-speed is not available yet but will be soon. Probably a six month lead time. There is a long thread on Moparts on this issue, it's a brand new designed from the ground up item and it has taken much longer to develop than Passon initially imagined. The cost is pretty high ~$4300. I would guess that Passon and Brewer will come out pretty close in price for a standard conversion kit but the stuff is very good and it's complete.
I would do some research on Kiesler before I went that direction. I recall seeing some threads some years ago about them and it seemed like the install was not that easy. Also you end up cutting up your floor board even if it's already a 4-speed car. It's been a while since I looked that this but you could do a thread search on Moparts and probably find some stuff. They may have improved since I paid attention to them.
you don't know me well enough to be bashing me like this...:toetap::toetap::toetappp):jester:
I say just go with an 18 spline 4 speed. They hold up to a hemi. Should hold what you're pumping into it with minimal upgrades from either Passon (who I personally recommend, they did a fabulous job on my 4-speed and shifter rebuild) or Brewers.
Sorry partner I was only joking. I apologize if you really do studder. :worship:
Pink,
This is a potentially good route to take too. Is there any specific place to find 18 spline 4 speeds for sale?
