Tamco is sending me another 4oz sample to try for FREE! I don`t have a lot of hope it will be any better but we`ll see.

Ya , it's kinda light. Or is the old paint contaminated? Have you tried a little buffing compound on the old paint?

It`s the underside of a trunk lid so very little exposure to the sun and elements but I did buff it up first.

Tell me about it. I turned 80 on February 19th and it sure limits your stamina and abilities. I had my left knee replaced and my right knee is sure sore so I pay for it at night. You know what? It is totally worth it as I sure miss racing my '68 Road Runner in the 70's and how gratifying it was to see Mustangs in my rear view mirror. I cannot believe the changes compared to now versus the 70's. I am almost finished putting larger wheel tubs in my '70 and I had to relocate the springs for my 48" Dana 60 I bought on Ebay. I sure hope that it fits as the backing plates are 40" wide. The absolute hardest part is having to do it ALL BY MYSELF. I have a 2017 CORVETTE Z06 redline edition which now sits in the drive way while my '70 Road Runner is in the garage. That pretty much says it all. I flat love MOPARS!

Hoping for a better color match from Revolt Paint, while I'm waiting work continues on the engine bay area welding up cut outs and holes drilled bt previous owner(s).

It is a lot of work but the end is worth it I hope. I am still working on mine every single day. I have the wheel tubs welded in and need to finish off the welds. I tried sealer but is does not finish right so I am going to use a little bit of bondo to cover up my less than professional welding. I also relocated the rear springs and patched up the rusted part of the right frame rail with steel plates. I know it is overkill, but I want to race it down the line. Stay positive!

I reccomend using fiberglass or metal reinforced filler over ay seams or welds, All Metal or any parts store equivalent with aluminum added from Advance, Auto Zone etc. ae what I prefer.

Engine bay extra holes and some damaged areas all welded up, ground and skimmed with All Metal.

All Metal is real good for where lead was used to fill joints.

I use it on any joints and over welded areas to seal up any possible pinholes and also use it as a base layer for areas like roof/quarter seams then finish with regular filler.

I`m excited to see it on the car but unfortunately that is a long ways off, on the outside anyway, but at least I can start cutting in jambs soon.

It's not new. I heard about it in the 1970's, started using it in the 80s. It bonds very well, is very strong and unlike regular filler it won't absorb moisture.
