My 68 RR finally has paint
I'm thinking the last coat of clear was afternoon it was warm, probably 80* to maybe 85* in the garage I used the same gun/air/nozzle settings I did on the 1st 2 coats I think I may have been moving too fast, maybe I was impatient, after smelling paint fumes for a day or something maybe kind... -

Great deal congrats... just curious how did they find/choose your car ? did you submit it ? some kind of search etc. or did they see it at a show & offered it up ? or something else- Budnicks

Anyone else get excited for the parts search
That's awesome there' still some great people out there I enjoy the hunt for parts I enjoy spending the time looking everyday even if I'm not working on something I'm looking "just in case something strikes my fancy" I don't enjoy prices some people think 'their rusty worn out old usually...- Budnicks

Have to put the runner on hold.
Back problems I use to relate, use to have them a lot don't do much 'bending over' anymore :poke: I don't get them much now I hope youz' guyz' feel better soon laying on a creeper with a beer sounds like a good temp. remedy- Budnicks

Pretty much done.
Looks great I finally got mine 68 RR self-painted LL1 after almost 10 years in ultra flat black it feels great to have color for sure good luck & happy Moparing -
after six years in primer.....
Looks great I do like that green you used I know the feeling Because mine got paint Oct. 29 2017 but mine was in limbo far longer, after almost 12 years, since 2005-ish it was only 1st primed, after body work was mostly done... I couldn't afford to paint it yet, had too many {3} other...- Budnicks

Thanks people, for the compliments & advice I haven't been here in a while, I spend most my time on FBBO... IMO it looks better in photos than in person, a few flaws, some scratches under the clear I didn't/couldn't see, I'm hoping will go away after the wet-sanding/more cut & buff they won't... -

My long term project 1968 RR with A-12 lift-off hood 383/479ci-6bbl LL1 surf turquoise metallic, with black below the body line & a thin red accent line... {after being ultra flat black for 10 year} Still needs a cut & buff, but wanted to get it out & share New Halogen headlights & all new... -
