Usually if there is a pucker in a seal, there is too much material if there is nothing obstructing the fit of the seal around the perimeter of the frame. Not sure which brand of the vent seals that your using, but I have a good ideal.
I am using Metro super soft from DTM, and you are correct. At the very front of wing is a pucker and where the seal goes down into the at front of wing it is also very tight. I worked it in place as best I could and it looks good.
