Water pump, 6 vane or 8 vane?

I need a new water pump and I've seen two versions, a 6 vane, and an 8 vane. Which one is the correct one to order?

There's no air con on the car if that makes a difference?

I don't know as I didn't want to take it off before I got the new one, I still want the option to drive it!

The one with eight will give more water flow, but if you are not having a issue with cooling and yours is 6 blades then that’s all you need.

383 without air used 2808680 pump
383 with air used 2808681 pump
I assume the 681 pump was 8 blade

Thanks for the info. Trying to find the correct one is a bloody minefield, everything I look at contradicts the last thing I looked at!
