So I understand this is my first post on this forum as I just found this site tonight, but seeing you guys also have a section for guns even made this site that much better as I spend alot of time on AR15.com and Calguns.net.
So for all of you Roadrunner and gun enthusiasts here is my dilemma; for the past few years I have been spending thousands of dollars assembling several custom AR's with high end parts and collecting several other Long Rifles and pistols. My gun collection is finally complete as I have purchased all, but three guns on my must have list. Due to my lack of personal time with two young ones at home, half of these have not even made it out to the range and instead sit quietly in my safes. I pull them out, look them over and become torn about parting ways with them, but then when I begin thinking about the reality of why I have several of the same style guns by different manufactures I begin to ponder the true purpose of them and see $$$ I could be putting into a Roadrunner and driving the wife and kids around in style on the weekends lol.
For the past couple of years I have gone back and forth, but within the past few months I have become quite serious to the point where I have posted adds willing to trade a large part of my collection (75-80%) for a 68-70 Roadrunner. For whatever reason it would be easier for me just to give up the collection at once, rather than selling individually. Another issue is I reside in CA and for the past few years they have been going after alot of the guns I possess.
So here is the question, being car fanatics like myself and also a gun fanatics, what would you do given my situation. Would you keep the guns in the collection and take the next few years building a Roadrunner slowly as extra funds become available, or would you sell 75-80% of the collection and just get the car built quickly over the next year..
Your input is greatly appreciated.
