Well, went ahead against much deliberation and purchased some 15/8s for the rear on 275/60R15 and 15/7s for the front on 235/60R15. The front tires came in already and look as though they have the tread and side wall but hard to tell until I have them on and mounted. I’ll send a picture update when she’s ready.

I am running the same wheel and tire combo, but with 15 x 8's on the front also. Did it more so that I can swap any wheel into any tub at any time. I think its a pretty good combo.

I didn't want the jacked up look on any of my cars. I have four different sets of 15"x8" rear wheels with 295/50/15 tires. Rallye's, Cragar's, Steelies and Road wheels/Magnum 500's (no pictures ). I like the wider look and no big rake with the stance.

The car looking level is the factory approach the stock look. Late 60's and early 70's picked up the back of the car to support more rubber. So it would not rub the fender well. Thus the rear to front rake.. Plus the bigger tire versus the small tire down the track. I will say jacked up was the slang. Seen some so high you need a step ladder to get in the trunk. That was way to much for me. Hope mine squat's a little when the car is loaded. :thumbsup2: Here is why I put more springs under the rear end and more curve on the spring's. IMG_0101.JPG

What was funny about the "rake" was you raise the car for a larger tire for traction but the higher you got the more tire you needed for traction weight transfer would go away

I do the opposite to eliminate too much rake. I have 315/60/15 drag radials on my Challenger (30" tall tire) and I run -1" under leaf springs and 1" lower blocks to keep it lower.
