Morning Tom. Thanks for the kind words on the PM. I tried to answer you through a PM last night and this morning, but when I go to the PM reply area, the site seems to lock up. I even tried on 2 different computers. Could still be me though. Just FYI , My daughter didn't end up going to UVM but we enjoyed a great site walk through when she was looking. I am guessing upper Vermont is not a hugh area for motorsport. Just so I dont feel bad for an off topic discussion, 2 weekends ago we had an all Mope show at the dealer in Augusta and had some very nice stuff. Approx 50 -75 cars. It is usually the first or second weekend in Sept every year.

Just my two cents but I think this all boils down to production numbers. In 68 for example Plymouth turned out just a hair over 43000 Road Runners in all trims. That same year Chevy produced 299000 plus chevelles. And that doesn't include nomads, wagons, 4-doors, or el caminos. All those included bumped that number to over 460000. Thats more than 10x the birds. Plus parts are cheaper and more readily available, so alot more people chose to restore them or keep them on the road. The Road Runner is a rare car in those terms. Just makes us special in my opinion!

very special! but there are soooo many parts out there, new and used compared to 30 years ago. If you didn't find it in a junk yard, you didn't find it.

That's why you get to see so many new bright smiling faces like mine in the hobby now! They're finally becoming affordable, but I'll still take a good used or NOS part over most reproductions.
