I just paid for my Strange S60 complete rear end!
It will be here in 2-3 weeks!

I went with the following set-up:
3.73 gear (Spicer)
35 spline Strange alloy axles
Trac-Loc Posi
Perches Installed ($50)
Powder Coated in Satin Black ($150)
Aluminum Differential Cover (black powder coated SS design upgrade) ($50)
Adjustable Pinion Snubber ($80)
11 inch drum brake set-up ($400)

I called Strange yesterday to get a price, and noticed that Summit also sells Strange products at the exact same price point. A guy over on Moparts offered up a 10% Summit discount to any member, first come first served, and I asked first!

The total price with shipping was about $2800.00 (whether I bought it directly from Strange or from Summit). The discount saved me $280!!!! So for about $2500 I'll have my complete rear end. It's more than I expected to spend, but I'm happy with the price considering the upgrades I added.
My future father-in-law wants my 8 3/4 rear end (3.23) for his 64 Sport Fury, so that will help ease the purchase too.

On a side note, my heater box and steering column are almost done too! Here is what has been done so far on that front:

Heater control bezel: (3) relettered buttons, polished chrome, clean and lube cables, reletter bezel, replate clips, rebuild switch.

Heater box: Clean and rebuild complete unit with supplied core, gasket and screw kit, powder coat face cover, paint all stamped metal doors and covers, stencil part #, resistor block, replate fasteners, new motor connector and hard shell, lube and reletter "VENT" cable.

Air box: clean and paint as required, replate fasteners, repair flapper gasket, lube and reletter "VENT" cable.

Steering cloumn: Clean & bead blast all parts, black suede paint and rebuild unit, machine shaft surface, new lower bearing, NOS upper bearing, new turnsignal switch, new coupler kit, new black coupler seal, reletter "PRNDL" lens, new lamp and socket wiring for "PRNDL" lens, polished turnsignal lever, polished shifter lever and replaced metal insert, replate fasteners, use supplied firewall gasket.

Instrument/Control harness restored.

Switch bar: Painted and relettered.

Rocker switches: Rebuild and rechromed.

Are you putting a power glide in it? :acme: :lmao:

Sounds like it is coming along at a very good pace. Looking forward to seeing it at Woodward in Aug.

I knew I would get it for the 3.73 gear, but they only make a 3.54, 3.73, or 4.10.
I wanted to go 4.10 but backed out at the last minute.

That's almost what the car cost brand new. :loco:

It's not that bad of a price considering a used dana, if you can find them, run from 15-18 hundred bucks. This way, you know what you are getting, along with a warrenty. :cents:

That's what I figured too. I know what I'm getting with this one.
The only Danas that I could find around here were beat to all hell, had been used in Jeeps, or had the perches relocated.
