Nope. J & J rubbed me the wrong way up at Garlits a while back - not a fan by any means.

Can't imagine. Jerry has never been anything but a gentleman to me. He even carries around a spreadsheet that I gave him of the A12-specific parts that I need for Bambi...been up to his junkyard many times...just gives me free rein to roam as I please...

Well, if asking him the prices on his parts pissed him off he's a loser in my book. He was BSing with a few buddies and completely ignored me. Then he wanted WAAAAY too much for the part. Seen him do it more than once. Hey, if he's good to you that's great. I'll find my parts elsewhere.

One of my old magazines has a write up on a '69 390 AMX 4-speed. They beefed it up with engine and driveline parts and a 4.30 gear. Thing was doing low 12's on slicks. Nice cars.

You're right about his pricing for sure...if you're not a repeat customer then he does not give you his best pricing. I've seen it too. It's kinda like buying a membership to a club or putting up your ante for a poker game; it costs to get in the door or in the game. But you can't blame him for giving better deals to people that are regular clientele; kind of a cornerstone of American business...

I didn't say anything about sticking it to anyone...just that people that are his repeat customers have more buying power...
