does the cable go under bottom1965_Mopar_4speed_Linkage_A833.jpg shift rod or over it.i have mine going under and it is just above exhaust but does rub on bottom shift rod.

Hey Tomrr have you looked in the Part's manual here. I have looked into it a few time's it help's some times. Hope someone has the answer.

Seeing's how the cable is stiff and the way it hook's to the trans. You are pretty limited to what you can do with it. Hope it work's out Tom. I still have to do all this and more. So hope you will give me a pointer or two when I start doing all the drive train. Russ. :steering:

Mine is the same was just wondering, Did not seem right !!
I thought the same thing, but when I tried to reroute it, what Russ said rings true. It's just too stiff to go over it and then bend back down to plug in at a 90° angle. If you try to reroute it, you'll see what I mean. It'll only fit one way and that is under the reverse rod.
