Solid fuel line vs flexible or braided to the carb?

I've got a 70RR just delivered yesterday,quite excited! Good thing i gave it the once over with the hood up and running and saw that the previous folks did'nt tighten the brass fitting on the holley carb where the solid fuel line attaches to. Don't seem to be able to free the line nut from the brass fitting. If for some reason that gets all fubar'd can i go of the fuel pump with flex line?

You can do that or make your own,, "just lines" has a variety also

Steel line form my holly then one from the fuel pump just a short piece of rubber line to tie the two together. That is how mine is.

Check out Right Stuff, they made all of mine, fuel and brakes, they done a great job.
