Hello all, if I can find another 68 Road Runner I am going to sell mine back to the original owner whom I bought it off of 46 years ago. I told him I would sell it to him if I can find another. Has to be a 1968 that is a 4 speed and came that way. While mine is an RM23 and is all original and numbers matching that is not necessary. Would like one that has been restored even if it was years ago. Just something nice, not a trailer queen. I am in the Philadelphia area but would be willing to travel if it's not too far. I have been checking ebay, youtube, facebook marketplace and Hemmings. Found a couple on Craigslist but turned out to be scams. If you know of one or where else to look please let me know. Thank you, Robert

Bake68RR yes ran into a few scam's when looking for one my self. It is a shame that people try to take advantage of other's. They wanted me to put money in an escrow account or something like that then would send me the car. Red flag's went off every where when checking it out. Was told they where over seas in the service. One jerk talked to me on the phone the car was here in Fla. Told him wanted to see the car it was in a storage unit down south of me. Was advised could not arrange to see the car. So did not get back with him. Then he called me and said I cost him a lot of money. You know really have to be smarter than them. Wish you luck on finding the bird of you choice. Believe you will find one. Just hang in their. :thumbsup2:

Found mine on Craigslist. No red flags. Talked to the guy twice. He picked me up at the airport, took me to his house to see it an went for a test drive. Made the deal and drove it home. There are some legit ones.

Yep, lots of scams out there. Several years ago I ran across a guy selling a new model Charger Daytona and I just messed with him for about 3 weeks, posting everything to a Charger forum site. It was entertaining for all.

But there are legit vehicles out there... plus everything is for sale for the right price.

That is it Ranger if you can put your hand's on it and drive it. That is how the scam work's posting pic's and giving excuses why you can't see the car in person. Also they are out of country. :beep:

That’s great that you’re looking to sell her back to the original owner. I’d love to find my dad’s ‘66 396 Chevelle... if it’s still out there.

Thanks Joe, going to keeping an eye on that website. I will be checking out Mark's Road Runner (four reply's up) on Thursday. Ran into a couple more scams, the one, when I wanted to meet at a police station no more contact. The other could not give the pictures I asked for, just excuses why he couldn't.

Yes the same old song and dance. They try to run an shell game on us. The big thing is if they want you to put the money in an escrow company before they ship the car that is big clue. If they tell you they are out of the country that is another clue and claim they are in the service over sea's. With a big sob story. I said it before if I can see it in person or put my hand's on it then it is a no go. Buyer beware.
