in the pic i found is the same as what you show for a rocker molding.

So is it safe to say these moldings may be Sport Satellite only? I have looked at at of pictures and so far that is all I see them on.

Cool picture. Keep me posted if you get something to work. I sure like those moldings better.

I had a thought.

I just read about mounting trim using high strength magnets. What if you epoxied some of those on the trim??

Just a thought.....

a lot of fastiners could be used like nutcerts to hold on a flat metal clip with a wire at the top to hold tension in the molding.

Recently removed a pair of Rocker moldings from my Sport Satellite to use on my Road Runner. I then ordered all new clips on ebay for it. When they showed the clips are about 1/8" smaller so they won't work. Anyone know if there are two sizes in 1969? Here is a picture of the two sizes I found.

The one on the left is the original with two holes, and the right the "Authentic Mopar" repop

In short, my 69 RR has 1 hole in the center of the rocker, not 2.

Yes the other B body Plymouths apparently used the single hole type that everyone sells. Nobody sells the two hole type since it only fits one car. So far the only people who even know there are two types are those who have read this thread. The rest of the Mopar world just thinks I am crazy! lol

Four pages on a Satellite molding clip...who knew???!!! :basketcase:

Now that Harry has a Scamp and Bob has a Valiant maybe we can get two or three pages on an A-Body windshield washer reservoir screw... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just teasing.

Actually they are "SPORT" Satellite only. The standard Satellite uses the same as the Road Runner. There would have been less pages but we have to keep going back to the original point of this post to try to get the right help. I understand this is a Road Runner forum. I am building a Road Runner. I just thought maybe others may have ran into the same or similar issue. As for the clips other types of clips use a threaded stud and there is no way to mount those. They have to be rocker clips. I don't want to "RIG" them on. If i can find the correct stuff I will mount them otherwise I weld everything up and don't use them at all. I have learned more than i knew when this thread started so it was good for me.

I stand corrected - and I knew that from following the thread.

And by mutual agreement we talk about anything and everything on here. I personally have started threads on here about everything from NASCAR to football to wives to beer to Mustangs and Malibus. Like most of the members here I enjoy seeing the variety in topics. I was just poking a little fun; it's what I do... :D

Yeah I know busting balls when I feel it! lmao! I am sure there is not a big market for them. Most Sport Satellites are now GTX or Road Runner clones. I can imagine how many of these clips were tossed in the trash during a resto. I will post on the Mopar Facebook pages and see what happens!

Back in 1992 I needed some clips for my rocker molding. I had a few including the metal clip that went on the ends to keep them aligned. A local paint & body supply store had these galvanized clips that slid under the lip. They are segmented at 1/16" and are 5/8" wide and came with clips that retained the molding to the body. If you have a few of the originals these may be an option for some of the missing ones.

Looks like those would work. I am still on the fence with them, but may have to make some. :brickwall:
