Removing wiper arms

I am going to use the wiper arms from a 68 Satellite and I don't want to break them. What's the best way to get them off?

there is a small clip that goes over the wiper pivot, take a straight screwdriver and gently move the clip out of the way while prying the wiper arm off. should come right off. you may need to pry the opposit side as well.

If you have any concern about paint on the car being the donor be sure to put down some sort of cushion before prying.
Don't ask how I know this....

Yea.. I know... It's gonna kill a $20 bill and you already have a screwdriver. I bought one of these at Carlisle a few years ago at the big tool trailer (Always stop at the guys with the tool trailer) for less than $10.

I haven't scratched the paint on a cowl since.

I'm late to the party (been away for a while John) and I see lots of help here already. The first time I went to remove a wiper I couldn't see what I was trying to move, pry on, unlatch, screw-up and I couldn't find anything on line that showed what I needed to do to get the darn thing off!!! So I said that when I did finally get one of them off that I would take photos of what had to be moved to remove the wiper assembly off of the post, so here they are for future reference:
