Power steering or manual.
Says power in the title :poke:
In theory its simple. Three bolts hold it to the K-frame 2 hoses, pull the piman arm drive the pin out of the steering shaft. Now which way will it come out and do you have headers, I don't know because Ive always rebuilt mine before the engine went back in. Somebody here will help further

I have Hedman headers on 383 '69. Ended up dropping the K frame, only way I could get enough room to slide it out.

I ended up putting in the borgeson power steering box and power steering pump. Very nice piece and smaller than oem. Also installed QA1 upper and lower control arms and new shocks.

Man she drives nice! 1000011127.jpg

Glad you got it done. Hope it was not that bad of a job. Seem to be like you have to pull everything just to do one job. :beep:

Thanks Russ. Drives really well. Ride height is correct. Now gonna pull and rebuild the tranny. I think it has the wrong convertor. It's a dog

How much did you have to disassemble to get it done?
Not bad. Pulled the whole steering gear out and the old power steering pump, pittman arm and headers. I had to cut 3/4 in off the Shaft for the borgeson.

I tried a Flaming River quick ratio manual box. It was too hard to turn. Went back to the power. Got a bit of play but much easier to drive. I'll try to adjust that play out soon.
