Portable welders

I’m close to getting back at roadrunner assembly. One of the things I need to do is weld the gas tank strap holders to the new floor. Forgot to get those when the metal work was all done. The portable that seems to have good reviews is this one.

Anyone use one of these yet?

No but I can't see arc welding sheet metal, I think you would burn holes.

Do you know any one with a mig welder that could help? An exhaust shop might be able to weld it in.

Yeah my kid has a mig. I don’t like to have him do car stuff for me. He is a good welder though. He builds stuff like this.

I`d buy a 110 mig welder, you can find them pretty cheap used and they are a great tool for any garage.
