well it is a 99 99 paint code car very rare . I have only seen the ralley green / or omaha orange cars ? you might keep digging to see if you can find sign of the orginal color ? but with a b 7 interior you may really have a 69 petty blue car ?

A dark blue interior or I think in this case the upper door frame color;

B3 = light blue

B5 = medium blue

B7 = dark blue

Man, there's a pretty darn good chance that is an original "Petty Blue" car :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

the whole trunk is blue,i also checked under the dash and its red oxide with some blue overspray i havnt got to pulling the seats apart to find broadcast sheet .

You guys are awsom thanks for the help,i just got back from the panel shop and the bloke there was foaming at the mouth he recons the car is mint just the small rust spots and he wants to soda blast her :eek: i near shit when he told me that but as he said the paint will be like factory when hes finnished im off to open a bottle of Uncle Jack and think about that one thanks again ACME :thumbsup: :cheers:

The switch was announced on November 26th and this car was built on the 30th. It's entirely plausible that this car was ordered before that announcement. Have any other Petty Blue 1969 RR's surfaced since this guy asked these questions? Basketcase, did you ever find that story on them?
