Have to redo my valve covers, after sand blasting should I use etching primer ? or clean and just use a good high temp paint.

Think you should use a high temp primer. Self etching is for rusted metal so it will eat down to good metal through the rust. Tried a lot of paint on and around motor's have not had good luck on paint in the long term. The fade-peel- and discolor. May be Bob will have an idea. Like I have been doing surf the net then do it your way. Russ.

I like the VHT engine primer before going to color... I have done my last few engines this way and have been really pleased with the results.
