hey mcmopar...love the car...is the paint an f8?

Yeah it is F8. Funny thing though. The original F8 was called Ivy Green Metallic. I sold the car in '88 and got it back in 2000. Before I sold it I had it painted in the original F8 Ivy Green Metallic. The body guy used lacquer paint and it looked really good. After I sold it the car was painted again in '94 and I got a small can of the leftover paint when I got the car back in 2000 and the code was F8 but the color is called Jade Green Metallic. It seems that PPG has 2 shades for F8; Ivy Green Metallic and Jade Green Metallic. The Jade is a bit brighter and has more flake in it. I get a lot of compliments on the color even though the paint job kinda sucks. Its a good 20 footer though.

Thanks BasketCase....it is a 1969 model 440 stock 318.it has 77K miles on it. I'm the 3rd owner each owner has about 20 K miles on it. The original owners were an elderly couple, the second owner put the paint interior and a valve job, i threw some leaf springs and mechanicals into. I have a 416 out of 1966 New Yorker bored out w/ custom pistons and a nice cam. It just needs to be installed but i'm have trouble bringing myself to taking it apart the 318 runs good and I have the Road Runner to finish.
