I need to a new clutch kit. I will not be drag racing with it. I would like to know what manufacturer or set up you might recommend? I have looked at a lot and thought you may be willing to help.

have the old one rebuilt/put a new clutch and t.o. bearing and don't forget the pilot bearing in the crank! you can get that one out with wet newspaper and a punch or a bolt that fits snug in the bearing and hit the bolt and the news16964_103884009636159_3729697_n.jpgpaper will push out the bearing

Would you believe when I took it apart there was no bushing in it. Bearing caps main & rod were not matched. Do I need to do anything to the pressure plate? It looks ok but I want to be sure.

I don't know why a stock unit wouldn't work. If you have any questions you could call the folks at Brewer Performance. They are very helpful. I bought a clutch assembly from them and had no trouble.

Stock unit works fine until you go to the track with slicks. Hays has a diaphragm pressure plate if you want a softer pedal. Just remember to remove the over center spring on the pedal if you go to one.
