Here's our new pain in the butt....... I had a female dobie a few years ago, but had to give her up. I had always wanted a red one, and then of course I wanted a male to replace the female.

He was born on 9-11, so he's about 3 months old. These photos were taken back in October, so he's grown quite a bit since then. We also had his ears cropped, so he looks much different today.

Anyways, a few pics of Klaus, in his more "innocent" days........ And yes, my love for the breed is where my user name comes from.

Another. He's gonna be a big boy. He was the biggest of the litter, with the most personality. Now, I almost wish we woulda taken a more "peaceful" puppy.... :D We expect him to be over 100 lbs some day, as daddy was a big guy too. He's all heart and loves to play. The amazing thing is when we started to let him roam the house at night, he would stay with us until the lights are shut off. After lights out, he immediately goes up front into the living room and sleeps there. At only 2 months old, he was already watching over things, and we couldn't be happier.

DAMN! That one is dead on, even sits the same way!
Yeah, right down to the junk in the corner of his eye. And yeah Ray, that is one of his favorite places to be so he can keep an eye on me. Every once in a while he'll reach over and try catching the curser arrow on the screen! Hasn't caught it yet.

Charmin has been throwing up about once a week. Vet isn't sure exactly what it is.

He did give him a steriod shot and the eye crustys have all but stopped. At least for now.

He has done a little better on the designer high end food $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but still throws up, but less. Took a long time to get him to even eat the good stuff. I tried when we first got him, he is 3-4 years old and wouldn't stop eating the commercial stuff at first, even went on a hunger strike for awhile.

Guess he really likes beaks and feet. :loco:

100 pound dog? You guys are braver than I. I had a dog and she and I never got along. I think it had something to do with her being afraid of the dark and reminding me every time I left her out. She had a 30x40 pen and a nice house. But no, every night I had to go out there and out her in a building. :brickwall:

Klaus is a beautiful boy, Dobie!

Never had one myself, but one of my buddies had one named "Brutus". Brutus was extremely tall, and well over 100 lbs. Absolutely chiseled and quite a specimen to behold. Terrifying & intimidating to anyone that didn't know him; if you knew him your worst fear was getting licked to death...

Brutus passed on a good 10 years ago, but I think of him often and fondly.

Owned a Husky/Timberwolf before this little schnoodle. The H-T dog would let a stranger in until they were cornered. Years ago, got a call at work because we were moving out of our 3rd floor apt. and the landlord was showing it. Three people had to sit quietly on the bed and wait until my shift was over. He was just doing his job. "Good boy Rocky".....

I never had a Dobie, but I had a couple of their close cousins, the Rottie.

Here's Rocko, of all the dogs I've had he was my favorite. I lost him five years ago to bone cancer at the age of twelve. I miss him.

Speaking of 100 lb dogs... Here's a pic from a couple years ago of my knuckleheaded Great Danes.

They've gotten a little bigger since then, but they're still knuckleheads.

My wife snuck this rat... err.... chihuahua when I wasn't looking.
