I was able to get some more painting done this weekend, trunk is painted and I couldn't help myself, but I painted the hood inserts and had to put the emblem on and the "Red" plates.

That's a great start! And there's nothing wrong with getting ahead of things to get a taste on how the finished product will look!!!!

Nice weather here in Va. So I took a day off work and painted the engine bay and front valance." Valance" is that what the part is called and correct spelling?

They might be ok on certain color combinations. Like the pic of the blue car don't look too bad. I like to modify these cars a little myself, but I like the wider stripes more so than the thinner ones, but its what ever you like.
