Sooooo, after a whole 4 days, which one do you like better the Boss or the GT500? Thinking about a new toy when the 13' GT500 comes out. Supposed to be 650hp in stock form.

I think your answer is going to depend on who replies, him or her :jester:

Sponge Bob nailed it...

Yep, 650 HP for sure - mostly through an improved supercharger. SVT was not about to let Chevy rule the roost w/ the ZL1. They even waited for Chevy to announce the ZL1 and then came out with their own announcement the next day just to ruin the party for Chevy. I know this from my buddy @ SVT that works on the GT500 Program.

As for your question - well, at this point the Shelby only has a little over 700 miles on it...and other than the drive home from Atlanta last Saturday and some running around last weekend I haven't even driven it as I spent the last few days out in SoCal. So, I'm not sure that I can offer a thorough, balanced assessment at this point...so I'll answer your question with a question based on what I am certain of at this point. My initial thought is simply to ask "what do you want out of the car?" If you want leather seats, voice-activated SYNC system, booming stereo, and tire-melting HP, then get the Shelby. If you want a stripped down (by 2012 standards), track-ready go-cart with air conditioning then get the BOSS. For two cars that share essentially the same sheet metal they really are two very different animals... For me the decision was easy... :D
