I've got one shrewd rat in my attic over the garage. He's cleaned the peanut butter off the trap numerous times so far. It's only a matter of time 'till I get him...
I used Decon mouse or rat poison on top of the peanut butter so they get a little something with their meal.
Dcon is the key, wife won't let me use it though cause of the pets. Don't want the dogs eatin' it and don't want the cats eatin' the mice that ate it. :brickwall:

I use mothballs around the outside of the car. Also wrap some up in rags and stuff them in the tailpipes. (always forget to take them out in the spring). Don't put mothballs inside your car because you will never get the smell out.......

I believe they (EPA) are in the process of banning Decon type products so stock up if you can find it. I use a product called a "tin cat" it is a metal box they go in and cannot get out from I bait them once and once they small like mouse you never bait them again, I have them in my garages against the walls. if you poison them you may by chance end up with a dead one dying in your car you don't know. my garages are very tight and I rarely get one but for another reason. I have several outside my house I built a wood cover for them to protect the box and I figure if they are that close to my house why not pick them up there. Haven't had a mouse in the house for six years since I started doing that. Let me tell you at spring cleaning time it's standing room only and they are all dead.

OK I can't help myself. Why do you guys store your cars :snowball: :jester:

Beacuse we have 4 seasons. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
1. I get to drive my car... 2. store my car... 3. dream about driving my car... 4. Take the car out of storage :jester:

Too funny! I missed this initially as I usually just skip over these "storage" threads. Most of the time they have limited interest for me. Once I got out of NE Ohio back in '97 I promised myself I was never, ever gonna be a part-time hot rodder again... So now it's not the winter weather that encroaches on my hobby; it's my job and all of the travel, a few health issues, the unbearable summer humidity, and the endless list of honey-do's and home-related tasks. No snow, no salt on the roads, and I'm still a part-time car junkie... Murphy's law is alive and well...

Funny how life gets in the way of our hobby. An exterminator once told me that a mouse can fit through an opening as small as a dime and a rat can fit through an opening as small as a quarter.
