... Bill is a typical painter, and he's drunk... so drunk I figure it's gonna be another day before I get the car because there's no way he's gonna stay verticle for much longer. :

I knew an old guy that could only paint when he was drunk. He could lay down one of the slickest enamel paint jobs in the area. Never needed to cut and buff one of his jobs. He is long gone now. He never wore a mask or any thing.

There was a custom painter near here that stopped drinking... He couldn't paint worth a damn sober though... So he started drinking again. He's dead, so is Bill from my story. No such thing as an old painter.

Yeah, my old man was a body man from the sixties until the mid eighties and had to give it up because the fumes built up toxins in his system he started getting sick when he painted and the sickness progressively got worse. The last time he painted he threw up for almost 2 weeks.

I had a friend back in the early eighties that was one of "those" painters...but his stimulant of choice was wacky-tobbacky. Stoned he could paint anything to look like glass. Sober he wasn't worth shooting. I've often wondered where and how he ended up... Probably better that I don't know... :leave:
