Line lock

Recently installed a Hurst line lock, and Ive got the switch cable-tied into a position I can just reach with my pinky under the pistol grip.
It works fine, but Im not real crazy about the exposed wiring and big red button hanging out like that. Any suggestions on creative mounting spots or is there a pistol grip that comes with the integrated switch like the cue-ball variety?

Using the LL more for recreational purposes than racing ;)

Perfect replacement. Have you ever seen one in the faux-timber like the original pistol grips? Not a big fan of the big shiny shifter with big red button look. But its looking more and more likely that I might have to go that way

Actually Russ last night was my first time at the strip. Talk about being schooled on how to drive. Lets just say that Ive got plenty to learn, and its gonna take some practice!

Could you keep her straight down the track. Even with a positive rear end seems they want to till to the right. I still think it is when the front end lifts the right front tire sit's on the ground more than the left. Saw a mustang one time come in to a drive in restaurant and the left tire was about 2 inches off the ground. Yep he had tweaked the frame. All cars seem to twist that way. We put a bunch of cross support on our duster frame to stop that. Good luck be safe and have fun. Russ.

it does want to rotate slightly. that is why there is an extra half leaf on the right side spring from the factory.

So that makes it stiffer back their. Going to put a sway bar on the runner. On the rear. Found the holes where one should have been. Don't know if the holes are factory or if someone had put one on but I did not get it with the car. Good info quikbird. Oh I got 6 leaf springs with the 2 and half inch recurve. So can put a little more meat on the rear.

it was definitely a rush, not like planting it at any st of lights.
Unfortunately I only got 2 runs in as the place was packed out and somebody puked up a heap of I-dont-know-what all over the track, took forever to get it cleaned up. Found a dude I met/raced down at the nationals last year, he's got a 70 challenger. Really was great to see the 2 cars going down the strip side by side. super rare round these parts.

Can definitely feel that twist when I plant it, man what a feeling. Gotta admit, I get most excited when I see that big front end lift up in the air
