I have WTB posts for certain parts on the specific bodies.com and other sites. I get a reply back from someone who is not selling the parts I am looking for, but stating that they purchased parts from a specific person and give me their contact info and that they may have the parts I am looking for. So, I contact said person. They have everything I am looking for and even provide pictures of everything. Their prices are too good to be true, and even offer free shipping. They are persistent on ready to sell and ship. However, they are not a member to know who they are?

I haven’t experienced what you’ve described first hand but typically if it appears to good to be true it is. I would stay away, certainly sounds like a scam.

I got burned (total scam) on a steering wheel a while back. Going forward only buying parts if I can pick them up in person. Have to drive a while or get someone I know in that city to pick them up but too many scammers out there.

And I keep getting texts from the Philippines and yesterday the UK telling me I have tolls to pay.

Too good to be true it probably is. I did find stuff for my car at different places. Online and by driving to different places. It was the roll of the dice no matter what I did. So, buyer beware is all I can say.
