Did anyone look at it and wonder what could be salvaged? Hell, it might be one of the easiest restorations out there. Just wondering. However, my bet is that, in his disturbed mind, the car has a lot of sentimental value.

383?

4 speed?

I will just pretend it is a 318, 727 base Satellite with no options. Uggggg. That still does not help, does it?

:bs: 68 grills are beautiful. Dont hate cause you cant afford one of each.
So says the guy that doesn't actually own a '69 Road Runner...or a '68 for that matter... :basketcase:

:jester:

I have owned many of both, plus I dont need to own one to have an opinion. Just ask any dork that comes up to you at the gas station to tell you that they had a nova just like yours!

That's nothing. I had a guy ask me if I had a 383 wedge in my car last night. I said no, it is not a wedge, as did another guy I was talking to say they weren't a wedge. The guy still insisted that it had to be 'cause I had one, so I said believe what you want.

Um, Steve, all MoPar big blocks except the Hemis ARE wedges...

Where do you think the term "Max Wedge" comes from...?

I stand corrected! thanks Ray! I guess my confusion was because that after around the mid 60's I didn't hear the term used to describe these engines as often. I remember the 413 and 426 called a wedge but after the 426 became the " 426 Hemi," I didn't think that it was still really a wedge design.
