I hope everything works out man. Cancer blows. Just about everyone in my family has had some form of it and there aren't many of us left. I will never forget my dad back in late 2007 in his hospital bed (with leukemia). He had been depressed and was looking down at the floor and told my mom he guessed he'd have to get rid of the 69 RR. They had medical bills in the neighborhood of 400k if I remember right and that was only on the 2nd of 3 times the leukemia struck. My dad's entire savings was gone from 35 years of work because of that but my mom refused to let him get rid of the RR. Definitely understand the issue of bills and I know what it's like to have your prized material possessions on the line.
