My RR's power steering gearbox is in need of replacement. I'm seeing gearboxes on-line ranging in price from $180 to $750.

What are the benefits of the different steering ratios?

Anybody have a recommendation for a specific high-quality box for my '72 340/727 Bird and where it can be purchased??

(FYI - I don't know a damn thing about automotive steering systems.)

We have installed a few Borgeson 14 t0 1 ratio steeering boxes and love them. tight, faster steering and smaller in size making more room for exhaust etc. Part number 800126. Can get from Summit, Jegs, and Amazon. Also put some on older c10 GM's

That's exactly what I've heard from several other sources. Thanks!!
