Hood insulation pad?

I have a hood insulation pad for the 70RR. Which if at all does the pad go on. Do I install with the fuzzy side towards the engine or the finished side. For some reason it looks better with the finished side exposed,but maybe it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do that way. It’s the budget friendly one from Classic.

I put my finished side down Toward's the motor. The clip's that hold it are a nightmare. Mine wanted to tear when installing the clips. Also, my breather wing nut rubbed a small hole in it. Post some pic's of how things are going. Russ.

Hey Russ! Good morning. Here’s a picture of the new one installed fuzzy side towards the engine. The other is the one with the finished side. I guess maybe this issue is whatever works is ok!
