My fender tag has a C4 option as well, and I was able to get the fender decoder to work correctly, but it registered as an unknown option. I have a hunch it means seat belt delete, since I found CO4 on a fender tag or build sheet for 69-71 is: Seat Belts - Delete All Standard. I also tried plugging in different numbers under the C, but none of them were known options.
Here is what you get when you plug in your codes to a fender tag reader:
CAR: Plymouth RoadRunner 2 Door Pillar Coupe
ENGINE: 383cid 4-bbl HP V8
TRANSMISSION: 4-Speed Manual Floor Shift
TIRES: F70x14 Red Side Wall, Steel Belted
BUILD DATE: January 02.
AXLE: 3.23 Rear Axle Ratio, Sure Grip
INTERIOR: High Trim Grade, Vinyl Split Bench Seats. Red Interior.
PAINT: Monotone Red Paint.
OTHER: Burgundy Metallic Upper Door Frame Color.
MOLDINGS:
25: Drip Rail Mouldings
47: 'B' Pillar Mouldings (for coupe)
ABC OPTIONS:
C4: Unknown Option
F0: Decor Package
R1: AM Radio
abc OPTIONS:
---
Hope this helps!

Had the same problem with the reader on fender tag. It did not give me any thing in that line. That is why I think the tag is a repro or off another car. The tag did not look rite for one thing and looked to new to me. A 50 year old tag would have a lot more signs of age to it.

Sorry to say that Sammy about the tag. Mine did not have one when buying it. It cost 400 to get one made but it dose not look like one from 50 years ago. Yes they can age it with acid or through it out side with salt on it to make it look aged. It was the lines pressed into the metal. If you can dig up some pic's of an original one the compare to yours you will see what I am saying. I would not worry about it too much buddy. I may have one done for my car to list all the things I am adding to it. Like console-bucket seats-AC and other things. Just to have it.

yeah I know what ur saying, same but different, I'm wanting to have a window sticker made for my car,not to deceive anyone, it's just a neat thing to have as a conversation piece just to give people that doesn't know, what these cars listed for and cost new.

I under stand where you are coming from Sammy looked like some of the guy's did not like the idea. It would be neat when showing the car too show the younger guy's what the cost was. But remember to tell them what we made in an hourly wage back then. Before inflation went up and up. What is a dollar worth to day and what it was worth back in the day. How about 50cent and hour minimum. Or get a 10 cent raise after a year with a company. I started out after leaving home pumping gas. On a fill up would check all fluids-vacuum the carpet inside the car-empty ash tray's- wash all window's. I wore out a pair of shoes in a month from running out to the car and sliding up to the window. People came from all over the owner said just to see me in action. I did work in the bay's doing brake job's. Doing mechanical work. Wheel bearings-brake jobs. Water hose replacement's- Thank God my dad passed on what his dad had tough him in his model A and T garage he had. Russ :kartman: Now where did I lay that **&^%%% wrench????
