Good afternoon everyone! My names Caton and I am joining the site to begin the early stages of research into restoring a roadrunner. I do not have a project yet, simply setting myself up now for when the time comes. I’ve tinkered on cars since 1998 and my first minor restoration was a 1985 mustang I purchased off a police auction for $300 lol. My grandfather was a motor head and I recently missed out on the purchase of his numbers matching 69 426 sold at RK Motorsports Charlotte..... to an owner in Italy...oh Well

My current garage queen is a 2018 F/8 green challenger T/A. I’m fortunate now to be in a position to start this journey so here I am and I look forward to interacting with all you! Thank you!

Welcome. If you have done a resto then you know what your in for. These Bird's are popping up every day now. So which runner are you looking for assume a 426 car. Well let us know what your looking for. E bay has been having quite a few for sale. Glad you are looking to bring another bird back to life. Russ.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I’d honestly be completely content with building a solid 440 six pack. Don’t want the hassle of 3 carbs with the A12. I don’t have a friendly body/paint shop so I’ll be looking to find a project that is solid in body and frame.

I see my error, hence my early research and joining of this forum.... I hope your future feedback and recommendations are better than your emojis

1) Welcome.

2) The old-timers on this site tend to do a fair amount of ball-busting (good natured - but we all have more than a dozen years of history together) so don't let a snappy comment intended to heighten your Road Runner awareness ruin your day. As the founder of this site notes in his avatar signature: "Sit back, relax, and don't bitch about the cigar smoke".

Yes knowledge is a good thing and these guy's have plenty of it along with experience working on these car's. Nothing like hand's on knowledge. Being a mechanic minded person have skinned plenty of knuckles and shed blood and tear's working on vehicle's. But someone knowing the rite things and where they go is a big help. What year runner are you looking to get.
