That is for a return line. You will need if running electric fuel pump or EFI.

So the gas tank it self has the vent line for vapor rite. Because I saw that the sending unit with the 3/8 line is for fuel and the 5/16 is for return if you run a electric fuel pump or as said EFI system.

AZ Desert,
x868.png Yes the tank is vented. The 3/8 pickup with the return was originally used on Hemi and 440 6bbl cars with vapor separator at the fuel pump, the 5/16 pickup was used on all other engines

Yep when cleaning out the tank on this car had a pin hole in the float. Put it in hot water to purge the gas out of it and stunk up the kitchen. It was amazing a little old gas made a lot of smell. Solider it up and it worked fine. Next time will just get a new one cheap enough and not deal with the wife asking what is that smell. :p

She was not home and it was only the float from the sending unit. Probably did not make my self clear. Got to buy new tank. This one already had a patch and someone had put that sealer in the tank. That stuff comes lose and look's like snake skin when taking it out. Love Alaska King Crab. Found you can have it shipped to you straight from the packer. Wish I could get it fresh and not frozen. :beep:
