Front head liner trim brackets

Here we go again. Bought the clip's or bracket's for the front head liner trim. Put them in the hole and they won't hold. Tried to pinch them a little to spread them some more and they brake. Has any one had this problem. If so what is the answer to get them to hold tight. Thought of putting glue on them. Then thought of drilling a hole and use a different type anchor. Frustrated with just this small piece to install.

Yes I had read some pretty scary stories about some of this stuff. Now finding out it is true. I cut the pinch part out with the plasma cutter and put them on with rivet's. The tri. spread ones and a washer so to give me more area to cover the hole in the bracket. Their on and don't fall out now.

Haha... I’ve been MacGyver-izing my way for years. I recently had a cousin pass, the house was locked (he lived alone), and no one had a key. They were trying to work on the front door locks to get in and were one step from calling a locksmith. I walked around the house, found a couple items, was able to gain entry, and the look on their faces when I opened the front door (from inside) was great. lol

We fixed a audi a8 with a plasma buner like those and now a day the are cheep!!

Thanks dmartin. I have them in. Doing what ever it takes to finish the car. They are fastened and are not coming out. I won't live to see the day they have to be replaced. Russ.

Yes worked grate. The clips don't move. You have to think out of the box sometimes to finish a job. We are stuck with after market parts and body part's and will say you have to be inventive to make the body panels work like they should. I was shorted on metal here and their and had to make brackets to add to some of it. Or add metal to it to make it fill the holes it was suppose to cover. This is the challenge you will run into through out a restoration job. So I found out.

Generally anything Bb related is much cheaper in the states, even with shipping. No huge demand for it here like in the US, so not many guys carry it. Ive used summit a whole lot, rockauto, brewers and hughes. Shipping is a killer, but even still it usually works out a bit cheaper than trying to source it locally, and definitely quicker.
