Recently I watched a guy with a Dodge Dart doing high 11s at the Memphis Motorsports Park. Turns out he's got a 383 with 906 heads and an 850 cfm carb. He's got a Mopar cam and an Eddy intake. I don't know what compression he's running, but it can't be too high since he's running with factory heads. Can a 383 expect to do 11s and 12s with setups like this?
What does a bone stock 383 straight from the factory do?
Those of you (with 383s now or in the past) who have done any modifying or bolt ons, what have y'all run on the 1/4 mile?
And what is the best you can push out of a 383 with 906's?
