Hey fellows I have a question to all you roadrunner guru's out there. Maybe it has already been asked. I am having a fender tag made up for my runner. It is a car from Lynch Road and I am having trouble finding the 3 digit engine, axle and transmission codes on the 5th line from the bottom on the tag. I know Lynch Road tags are different than the others in this respect. I have decoding books but they do not tell me what the 3 digit code numbers are for the different engine's, axle's and trani's. I need this info to have my tag made. Any idea's ? Thank's, Ken. :toetap:

My car is a LR car. I don't have the codes in front of me but you might search for my thread about this issue.

John - probably irrelevant as I assume Ken would have mentioned if he was working on an A12 car - but you're not going to see E87 on a '69 (well, '69.5...) fender tag because these were all converted 383 cars - so they still have the E63 code stamped on them. The A12 code "overrides" the E63. Just FYI...

Ken - if you are by chance working on an A12 let us know - 'cause they're a whole different animal and you need more than is shown above.

most wont , but there is a guy in arizona who will make you anything you want or so I have heard from a couple people . Data tags in colorado requires documentation and is very good and reasonable , but is a real ass to deal with on the phone .

Thanks, Ray. I got that info from some paperwork that came with the car when I got it back. I got :dupe: because he didn't mention it in his 1st post. You A12 guys are a "different breed" :jester: but I like it! :drive:

Hey guy's thank's for the replies. Mcmopar, I probably should have made myself a little more clear. You are right, I am looking for the 3 digit build sheet code numbers for the 383 4 bbl 335 hp engine, 4-speed trani, and the 3:91 rear axle. I have the A31 axle package on this car. The Lynch Road car's had this info on the 5th line from the bottom as well as the normal engine/trani codes that are on the 1st line. It was a Lynch Road thing from what I understand from my book's.

Acme A12, no this is not an A12 car. Wish it was though. I understand you when you say they are a different beast. I know a guy that has one with 8700 original miles on it. Won't drive it because he does not want to rack up the milage. 'Course he also has 8 other car's including 4 hemi car's. Met him in Carlisle this year. He only live's about 3-4 hour's from me.

69HemiBeep, a friend of mine here is a BIG mopar guy and has 3 hemi car's amoung other's and know's a lot of people. He has connection's everywhere and can have one made for me for around $80 US. I just give him a pencil rubbing of the VIN and a copy of the ownership. I am also sending a copy of the insurance all on one page.

Thank's fellows and if any of you have the build sheet code's for me please pass them along. As soon as I figure out how to post pic's of my car I'll get them on. Just finished a 2 year resto on it. I have owned it for 28 year's now. Putting my Legendary seat cover's on it next week and the gut's are done. WCR and I are pretty good friend's and only live about 15 minutes apart.

Cheer's, Ken.

Hey Ken, do you think your buddy could do one for me? Mine is also a Lynch Road car and the fender tag is long gone.

I checked my build sheet info and found some more numbers for you:
603 - A833 11"/23 Spline 4 SPD Trans 383-4BBL
I don't have a build sheet code for the engine since mine was factory equipped with a/c and the 330hp engine was substituted for the 335 hp engine. I also do not have the build sheet code for the 3.91 axle as mine was fitted with the 3.55. Maybe some of the other guys on here can help out in this regard.

Mcmopar, right on bud. That's two code's down and one to go. On the tag, I'll check with my friend for you but don't see why not. I would kind of like to get one done for my car first and see how it look's before I get one done for someone else. I would hate to get and it not be correct for you without checking first. I would feel bad if you waisted your money. Wouldn't want you to come up here to Canada and slap me around. HA, HA. Soon as I get the axle code I think I have it pretty well covered then I will pass it along to my friend. Not sure how long it will take but he need's one to for a Cuda he built. Thank's, Ken. :worship:

Ok Ken. I can't afford to have one done right now anyway but when the time comes it will be nice to have a source who could get the job done.

To start with the 5th, 6th and 7th digits on your VIN would be M9A
