Fellows I'm having a bit of trouble de-coding the casting numbers on my block.

Casting Number: 2468130 3

4-7-71

your block casting translates to 383, 1959-71

if you want to know more about your engine, you would have to look at the vin in conjunction with the other stampings on the block.

the little pad on the front of the engine should have some stampings that will give you a little more info

Yes...I found that right front passenger side at pan rail. VIN...correct?
