I'm tired of each time I go to fire up my RR, (if I didn't run it yesterday,)
it needs to crank over and over to get fuel to the carb.
What are the thoughts of installing an Electric Fuel Pump? Brand? location?
Or do I have another issue? Edelbrock 650.

keep a small bottle with a flexible hose and fill the carb fuel bowl's

also what fuel pump is on the engine there should be a built in check valve to hold fuel in the line for a quicker start after a time of sitting.

others will tell there experience.

The fuel evaporates much faster from the Carter Eddy style carbs. You could put a rotary style electric pump in to fill the carb then shut it off the mechanical pump will pull fuel threw it. Or prime the carb as said above.

Have a check valve in my fuel line just before the carb. Running a Holley carb. I do give one pump on the gas pedal before cranking the motor if it has set for a while.

If mine sets a month then it takes awhile. Mine just set 2 weeks and I pumped it once and it fired right up.

No you got other problems start with carb first .Electric pump is not the answer!
Mr. 4 speed,
You are correct. Rebuilt the carb, (OK, took it to Dave, Monkeys in Manteca,) fuel rod was bent causing fuel to over flow and jets were sticking in open. No leak and starts much stronger.

I’m with @69hemibeep . I experienced this problem on my 69 383 car running an Edelbrock pretty much any time the car sat for more than 8-9 days, hot starts were also annoying if the car sat for more than 10-15 minutes when hot. I also think it was evaporated and fuel and bleed back.

If originality is not a concern for you I’d recommend an EFI tank with the in tank pump, and run a fuel bypass regulator. Second choice which may be a descent option is the Spectra Premium retro fit pump to in place of your oem pick up:

I’m. It sure what pressure it runs but likely you’ll have to run a bypass regulator, return style, as the description says it’s for converting EFI. I’d call them to see what pressure it runs.
