Was there this morning......was a question on my cc944 double valve springs which will work fine....then smith bros push rods.....mine are .120 wall thickness and they were chaffing on the block......he wants to put her together and see what clearance we have between the pushrods and the block......might go with .140-.150 wall thickness so they dont flex.....then the last build he had the adjusters on the stage v rockers too far away from the push rods cups..all 8 exhaust pushrod tips turned black from heat..there should be zero threads showing so they get oil.....so bottom end is all together/heads going on/button her up and off to Albany to his sons shop/dyno.....i really need this dyno to check my hot valve lash.....there is no way with my motor in car can i check hot valve lash.......heater hoses have to come off and its too much time getting valve covers off.....she will start cooling down and the settings will be wrong....forhemisonly.com[tim banning] said to set cold valve lash at .005 intake and .007 exhaust as a starting point to get close to 22 intake and 24 exhaust @ operating temperature....so thats where i stand from july 08. 13.....never again with this guy even though he is the best.....hope i get it back soon
