While removing my door parts from my original doors to install on the new doors, my drivers side glass shattered.
I didn't hit it, the glass didn't hit anything either. I was removing the exterior door handle nut from the inside of the door (the glass was all the way up) and it just shattered. I must have tweaked the door a little when I put pressure on it, causing the glass to stress. That's all I can think of.
What a mess, and major let down. I've been able to keep the glass and original door parts intact all this time (32 years off the car), and then at the last minute to have it break is beyond disappointing.
Anyone know of someone with convertible glass? I really need this glass, and it's hard to find. I posted to the wanted ads over on Parts' too.
I'd like to get the glass in this summer if I can find one.
