dash cluster stuck on 50mph

have any of you guys had this issues , needle sits on 50, but still goes when driving, so im guessing its an adjustment issue, but i really don't know , any suggestions or anyone fixed this issue, thank youj

im going to pull it apart and have a look at it ,

This issue may be in the drive mech in the speed o. Mine was shot when the guy restored my cluster. Told me this issue on old speed O. is common. Have you replaced the cable coming to the speed o from the trans. The drive in the speed o is complicated to say the least. May have to take it to a company that can fix it for you. Those parts are getting hard to find. Wish you the best with it. Russ.

I use Red Line Gauges in California if you can't find anyone down there. The local speedo shop said two of mine were junk but Red Line fixed both. Not cheap though.

Nothing cheap on these old car's. But well worth having it fixed.

I had not noticed that. Ho no what the heck. Man now will have to look into that. It is brand new.

So here is what I have been told. The speaker magnet is the problem. The magnet in the tach is small and the speaker over power's that one. I have a dual speaker in the dash. Was told it will read right once I start the car.

clock spring was broken,, i tweeked the spring and moved the spring locator to make neelde sit on 0, was a fliddly job but simple,

Have tried to fix a few and they just fell apart in side. Worn beyond repair. Good that you could fix it. Now you can get the car on the road.
